The Art of Star Wars Exhibition - Now Closed
On October 13th 2000,The Art of Star Wars Exhibition
opened at Bradford`s National Museum Of Photography,Film & Television.
The Exhibition had previously drawn record crowds at the Barbican Centre
in London. On show were more than 200 original models, props,
paintings, and costumes. It was the largest Star Wars exhibition ever to
be held in the UK,and featured everything, from Luke Skywalkers
Lightsaber,to Anakin`s full-size Podracer,used in Episode-One.
We visited the Museum last October, and here are some of
the photo`s that i took,to give you an idea of
what was on show;

Entrance to the Exhibition was on Level 3.

Millennium Falcon model used in Star Wars, complete with blast holes!

X-Wing production model, includes pilot and droid

This is how close you could get to C3PO!

Unlike the movie,if you look close enough, you CAN`T see Kenny Baker inside!!

The`boyo`s`,together again!!

This is an interactive, animatronic Ree Yees mask. You could make its eyes and mouth move!

Queen Amidala`s Royal Starship,
used in Episode-One

Original Darth Maul costume, used in The Phantom Menace. The famous double-edged Lightsaber was at the Exhibition too

A full-size Battle-Droid,used in Episode-One

The costumes of Queen Amidala and
her Hand-Maidens.Qui-Gon Jinn`s
costume can be seen in the background

Luke Skywalkers Lightsaber

The Logray,an Ewok Shaman costume, used in Return of the Jedi

This is the actual Imperial Star
Destroyer that rumbles overhead in the opening scene of Star Wars

Landspeeder model,complete with Luke,Obi-Wan,C3PO,and R2D2!

AT-AT model,used in `Empire Strikes Back`

2-1B, the medical droid that
replaced Luke`s hand in The Empire
Strikes Back

Stormtrooper and Royal Guard costumes

Anakin Skywalkers Podracer could be seen in the entrance to the Museum. The engines were suspended from the ceiling!

I took this photo from the balcony that overlooks the main entrance

Another image from the balcony. As you can see,the actual pod was surrounded by a glass screen.I still managed to get my hands on it though!!

Peter Mayhew`s Chewbacca costume, alongside Harrison Ford`s Han Solo costume

Jeremy Bulloch`s Boba-Fett
costume,worn in the Trilogy

Liam and Erin masked-up.There was a Darth Maul mask there too

Original Darth Vader costume, worn by Dave Prowse in the Star Wars Trilogy

Princess Leia`s Hoth costume, worn by Carrie Fisher in The Empire Strikes Back

You could get a good view of the controls in Anakin Sywalkers Pod cockpit

Original Yoda puppet used
in `Empire Strikes Back`

Yoda`s movements and voice were provided by Frank Oz,who was also the puppeteer and voice of `Fozzy Bear` and `Miss Piggy`!!

The use of low-lighting effects and glass display cases, made it quite difficult to get good photo`s!!
